A house was considered a total loss following a fire Wednesday afternoon. The Madison Township Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire at approximately 2:02 p.m. and found the house at 687 Lenox Ave. to be fully involved. Teresa L. Meyers, the only occupant, was taken to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. She was listed in stable condition Wednesday night. Fire Chief Ronald Luttrell said the cause of the fire is undetermined, adding a state fire marshal would be on the scene Thursday. The fire was controlled in about 45 minutes, according to Luttrell. Madison Township received assistance from the city of Mansfield, as well as Springfield and Franklin township fire departments.
