One man is dead after his Belmont County home caught fire late on Friday night and into Saturday morning. At 2 a.m., a flash was captured on a neighbor's surveillance camera, but nobody was awake to notice it. A call was then made to 911 at 2:56 a.m. about a fire on Stone House Road. The house, a two-story log cabin, was fully involved when first responders arrived on the scene. The roof was gone and the first floor had fallen into the basement. There was no wind at the scene. According to Cumberland Trail Fire Chief John Slavik, the first arriving unit was on the scene nine minutes after the call was made. The fire was too big and the structure was too damaged for any firemen to go in. As of right now, the fire marshal has not determined a cause, but there is currently no reason for any suspicion. Joseph Graham, 68, was pronounced dead Saturday after his home went ablaze.
