Putnam County home destroyed by fire

A Putnam County home was destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning north of here. A house at 03734 Ohio 634, between Putnam County Road D and Ohio 15, near Continental, was considered a total loss. According to the Putnam County auditor's website, the home is owned by Gregory Spitnale. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office reported that at 3:59 a.m., a 911 call was received reporting a house fire. The caller advised that everyone was safely out of the home. Continental Fire Department reported flames visible as crews arrived on the scene. Providing mutual aid were Highland Township, Oakwood and Miller City fire departments, Putnam County EMS, Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the American Red Cross and Paulding-Putnam Electric Co-op.
