The Richland County Emergency Management Agency has been awarded $28,782.78 through the Fiscal Year 2015 Homeland Security Special Project Grant. This is a 100-percent grant awarded through the State Homeland Security Program and is specific in it can only be used for the purchase of entry suits. There will be no county monies used in the purchase of these suits. The grant funding will be used exclusively for the purchase of Level A and Level B entry suits for the Regional Hazardous Materials Team. The team is comprised of several members from various fire departments from Richland and Ashland counties. This team offers services to Richland County, Ashland County, and the north central Ohio area.
