A fire investigator is working to determine the cause of the fire that destroyed the single-story home on Germantown Pike.
The residents, said to be a husband and wife, were home when the fire started, Jefferson Twp. Fire Battalion Chief Chad McInturff said, and they were able to escape without injury.
The house, in the 5800 block, "will most likely be a total loss," McInturff said.
There is no indication the fire was suspicious, he said.
