The Trumbull County Fire Investigative Unit is looking for the cause of a house fire in Southington Township early Wednesday. The first alarm was called in just after 5:30 a.m. when someone called 9-1-1 to report flames coming from the roof of a home on the 4400 block of Herner-County Line Road. Once there, firefighters called for manpower and equipment from five surrounding fire departments. Although the fire was under control within an hour, investigators tell 21 News that the home is a total loss. It is believed that the flames broke out on the second floor and spread throughout the home. Owners of the home were not home at the time the fire broke out.
