A family is displaced after flames ignite in their apartment kitchen. Huber Heights firefighters were called out to Mt. Carmel St. just after 11:00 Thursday Night. Smoke was seen billowing out of the complex windows. The family tells Fox 45 that the smoke detectors alerted them to the flames. Everyone made it out of the apartment safely. According to officials, the kitchen fire will likely cost about $3,000 in damage. No other apartments were effected. The family is staying with relatives until the damage is repaired.
