Battalion Chief Brian Byrd is helping to plan a bone marrow drive that's being called, "Do it for Darryl." "Darryl likes giving back to people," Byrd said. "He has been everything from a basketball coach, a mentor for kids in the community. he always does it out of the limelight, that's just how Darryl is." On Saturday, representatives from Be The Match, a national bone marrow transplant program, will take a cheek swab during the drive that will be used for their nation wide registry. Byrd said the entire process takes about 20 minutes.
