Fire departments responded to the 6000-block of North TR 190 for a woods line on fire Thursday afternoon.
Assistant Chief John Montgomery of Green Springs Rural Volunteer Fire Department said when crews arrived, they found a woods line between two fields was burning. Multiple downed trees, a couple of tires and a shed burned, he said.
Montgomery said while most of what burned was downed trees and brush, the shed was a total loss, he said.
The bulk of the fire was knocked down in 15 minutes, he said. The rest of the time on scene was spent containing the fire, Montgomery said.
“We were trying to stop it from spreading to the field on the west side,” he said.
About 1,500 gallons of water was used to fight the blaze, he said.
