One person was severely burned when a house exploded Monday afternoon in Cleveland's Glenville neighborhood, officials said. The 45-year-old woman was taken to Metro Hospital in critical condition after the house exploded in the 10000 block of Primrose Avenue, Cleveland police said. Authorities said the woman suffered second-degree burns over 80 percent of her body. The explosion leveled the two-story corner house about 2 p.m. Cleveland firefighters were seen digging through rubble and tossing drywall and pink insulation to the side. It was originally reported the explosion destroyed two homes. Fire officials later determined that one home and a garage was involved. Fire Chief Angelou Calvillo said it was unclear if anyone else was inside home or may be under the wreckage.
