Some Butler County first responders say they helped rescue a horse trapped in a well Sunday afternoon.
Reily Township Fire and EMS posted photos of the rescue on its Facebook page. According to the post, Reily Township assisted the Germantown Fire Department and a veterinarian, Dr. John Nenni, in hoisting the horse to safety in Montgomery County.
A woman who wrote on the Facebook post that she owns the horse said the horse is blind. She thanked the rescuers and said the horse is ”doing great.”
Reily Township firefighters said the horse “got scared” and backed into the well. In the post, they explained how they performed the rescue.
