Firefighters in Berlin Township held their 25th annual BBQ Chicken Dinner at the fire station on Saturday.
The department cleared their garage for about 100 people who passed through for meals.
Attendees also had the chance to check out their vehicles.
The dinner raised money to pay for their equipment. The fire chief said they do not get a lot of funding for this in other means.
“It makes me feel good. It makes it all worth it. You know, we give to the community and they give back by being here,” said Chief Rick Peppel.
The chief expected that they raised around $1,000, which is approximately the price of two firefighting coats.
