A minivan was destroyed by flames Thursday morning, and investigators are still working to find out what caused the fire in the North Portland neighborhood. No one was hurt in the fire, officials said. Portland Fire & Rescue crews were called out just before 6 a.m. on reports of a vehicle on fire near North Van Houten and Fessenden Street. Several witnesses around North Portland reported seeing a large plume of smoke from the fire. Neighbor James Kenneyrecorded the fire on his cell phone. Firefighters extinguished the flames, however the van had already been destroyed in the fire.
