Clackamas County Fire District Director Don Trotter has taken a commanding lead in his effort to win re-election to Position No. 2.
In the second round of election results released at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, Trotter had 12,768 votes. His opponent, Chris Hawes, is trailing with 5,414 votes.
The race is much closer in the four-way race for Position No. 4, with Jay Cross leading at 5,887 votes. Other contenders are Michael Morrow with 4,219 votes, Terry John Gibson with 4,169 and Steve Bates of Boring at 3,879.
