Rick Snyder says he gets up early. He was awake about 5 a.m. Tuesday at his home in the Bethel-Danebo area when he opened his front door to let in his cat. That’s when he saw a distinct orange glow coming from a residence in the neighborhood, he said. “I saw flames coming out of the roof of that house. It just lit up the sky,” Snyder said. “And I couldn’t see or hear anyone outside. So I just went into a dead run. I ran to the first door, and I just started pounding. She didn’t respond.” Snyder was knocking on one of two doors of a duplex in the 4000 block of Murnane Street.
