A fire destroyed an unoccupied home south of Eugene early Monday morning. Calls reporting the fire near Bailey Hill Road and Lorane Highway came in around 2 a.m., dispatch logs show. Firefighters said the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The blaze took 20 minutes for fire crews to control. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
