A 22-year-old man was sentenced to more than six years in prison Wednesday for throwing lit road flares into a police patrol vehicle and a Target store during the May Day protest in downtown Portland. Damion Feller previously pleaded guilty to criminal mischief, riot, and arson charges. A federal grand jury also indicted him on malicious damage by means of fire charges. More than two dozen others were arrested during the May 1 protest that turned into a violent riot through the downtown area.
