Firefighters are working to knock down a structure fire along East Evans Creek Road in Rogue River that initially sparked late Thursday night. Evans Valley Fire District crews responded to the 5600 block shortly before 10:30 p.m. to find a large outbuilding roughly 50% involved by flames. With assistance of Rogue River Fire and Grants Pass Fire, crews had the fire mostly knocked down as of 12:15 a.m. on Friday. No one was inside the outbuilding and the house on the property was not impacted. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
