Firefighters respond to a structure fire in the 300 block of Vannoy Creek Rd early Thursday morning. Rural Metro Fire say they found a fully involved vehicle when they arrived on scene. There was no threat to nearby buildings. The cause of the fire was determined to have been from an open burn from the night before that had spread to the vehicle. "The unfortunate loss serves as a reminder to stay in attendance of open burns, and to make sure they are "dead-out" at the end of the day," said Rural Metro Fire said.
