St. Helens and Scappoose have new fire protection ratings that should improve the insurance rates for residents within five miles of the recognized fire station, according to a press release from Columbia River Fire and Rescue.
Columbia River Fire and Rescue (CRFR) and Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District (SRFD) participated in the Insurance Service Office (ISO) public protection classification rating and received new, improved ratings.
ISO is an organization that collects statistical data, promulgates rating information, develops standard policy forms, and files information with state regulators on behalf of insurance companies that purchase its services.
