A fire ripped through a home in Woodburn Tuesday evening, displacing 10 people and killing two of their dogs.
According to the Woodburn Fire District, the fire broke out just before 5 p.m. in the 800 block of Blaine Street.
The fire chief says there were six people inside the house sleeping at the time and it was a 6-year-old that woke up and ran down the block to get help.
The people inside made it out OK, but an elderly woman suffered a burn to her foot.
FOX 12 spoke with the granddaughter of that woman, who says their family is devastated.
“It’s a family home,” said granddaughter Christina Arroyl. “We always come and we go, everybody’s always visiting my grandma.
