Douglas Forest Protective Association has issued a Monday morning update on multiple fires they're battling on the Douglas District in Douglas County.
Canyon Creek Fire, located about 4 miles south of Canyonville: As of Monday morning, the Canyon Creek fire is estimated at about 8 acres in size.
Around 30 firefighters worked through the night, installing hose lays around the fire to cool off the perimeter and began constructing control lines around the blaze.
Crews completed a fire line around the majority of the fire, but were unable to secure about 700 feet of line overnight due to burning snags near the edge of the fire.
