A Bandon women has died following burn injuries sustained in a house fire late Wednesday afternoon. Bandon Fire Chief Lanny Boston said he received the 911 call at 4:18 p.m. on March 14 about a structure fire with a woman trapped inside at 55741 Bates Road, which is located just outside Bandon city limits. The house is located on the east side of the road just prior to Trout Pond Lane. Upon arrival, Boston found that Bandon Police Chief Bob Webb and Officer Cory Dhillon had already responded to the residence and were trying to get into a back bedroom where they believed the woman to be located. Dhillon had turned on a garden hose and put it into the bedroom window to try and put the fire out.
