An intense house fire in Northeast Portland displaced six adults and two children late Thursday night. Portland Fire and Rescue responded to Northeast 117th Avenue and Northeast Brazee Street just before midnight. When they arrived, flames were coming out of the windows. The eight occupants made it out safely, but they were worried about their dog. Firefighters found the dog in a bedroom inside the home and rescued it. The American Red Cross is providing the displaced family with resources to help address their basic needs.
