Gilbert Galindo said he woke up early Monday and went outside.
"I wasn't outside 5 minutes and I heard bam bam bam," he said, "and that trailer went up that fast."
Galindo and a second person in the trailer at Frontier Village at the time of the fire escaped. A man inside the trailer did not.
"The flames were so hot and high," Galindo said, "there's nothing we could've done."
Firefighters responded at 5:36 a.m.
"First arriving crews arrived to find the mobile home fully involved with fire," Chief Joe Raade with South Lane Fire and Rescue said in a report. "It was immediately determined that only two of the three occupants of the structure had been able to escape the fire. Due to the amount of fire consuming the structure, a rescue was not possible."
