A Roseburg woman was arrested Sunday after she stole an ambulance and crashed it into patrol vehicles before she was stopped. According to a Roseburg Police Department report, 37-year-old Christy Lynn Woods stole the Bay Cities Ambulance while medics were providing care to a person unrelated to the incident in the 700 block of SE Jackson Street. The incident took place around 3:25 p.m. Woods led Oregon State Police, Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies and Roseburg Police units on a 30-mile pursuit on Interstate 5 northbound, the report said. At milepost 130, Woods struck an OSP patrol vehicle as the trooper attempted to clear traffic ahead of the pursuit.
