A man is accused of using an ax to break a window at a Portland fire station Thursday afternoon. Portland police said they arrested 30-year-old Joseph Coffin. Officers were called to Portland Fire Station 19 at 7301 East Burnside Street on the report of someone breaking windows with an ax. Authorities said they found a man pacing in front of the fire station with something in his hands. Officers said they found an ax and a knife at the scene, and one window at the fire station was damaged but no one was injured. The man ran from the officers but gave up and was arrested, officials said.
