A barn is completely destroyed after catching fire in Salisbury Township.
Crews were able to put out the fire after battling it for several hours. Once the fire was out, an excavator knocked down what remained of the barn.
At this point the cause is unknown, but Gap Fire Company Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Beiler says lightning may have sparked it during severe storms moving through the area Tuesday night.
Beiler says when crews arrived, the barn was fully involved; with hay, straw and farm equipment inside.
One firefighter had to be taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion.
