Muhlenberg Township police and firefighters are recovering from a busy Independence Day.
"We had 32 calls in a couple hours span about fireworks complaints," said Sgt. Joel Marino, Muhlenberg Township Police Department.
One call kept officers particularly busy.
"We got a call for a car fire over in the 3100 block of Eisenbrown Road," said Marino. "Our officers got there and found a car that was fully engulfed in flames."
Police said fireworks are to blame for the flames that engulfed a minivan.
"The tube fell over and actually shot some of the fireworks under the car and in the open window of the van," Marino said.
A neighbor witnessed the response.
