Four deceased Greensburg firefighters, including former chief Ed Hutchinson, were remembered for their service to the department and community during the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department's annual Firemen's Memorial Service.
Hutchinson, a member of Hose Co. No. 3 who served as chief for 63 years before retiring in 2016, died April 15. The other firefighters remembered during the department's annual banquet on May 19 were: John M. DiLello, also a member of Hose Co. No. 3, who died Dec. 4, 2017; Victor E. DeRubis, a member of Hose Co. No. 7, who died May 31, 2017; and James M. Murtland, a member of Hose Co. No. 8, who died Dec. 25, 2017.
