A house is a complete loss after an overnight fire in Hellam Township. It started around 1:30 Thursday morning on Kreutz Creek Road. Fire crews say the homeowners were dealing with an electric problem and were not home at the time the fire started. When they came back to check on the house, they saw flames coming out of the home. Firefighters say tough terrain and a lack of fire hydrants made it difficult to fight the flames, but eventually they were able to get it under control. No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
