For the last 125 years, the Americus Hose Company has been responding to emergencies and on Friday, the club will celebrate.
The 125th Anniversary will kick off with a members-only dinner and gathering while older members will get to talk with the newer members about the memories.
The biggest topic of discussion may very well be the Northumberland County Prison fire that occurred in 2015, Americus Hose Co., general manager Bob Hare said.
The 125th Anniversary committee included Hare, Americus Hose Co., vice president Mike Rhoads, Brian Michaels, Americus Ambulance committee board member Tom Krieger and member Joel Wiest.
“The committee did a great job with planning this event,” Krieger said. “We all thank them for their time and effort and dedication to the Americus.”
Saturday night, Americus is open to the public with various drink specials and Valley rock band, Kinsey will take to the stage at 9 p.m.
