Fire in York leaves one firefighter with non-life-threatening injuries

York County firefighters spent much of the night putting out a house fire. Firefighters were called to the scene of the fire on Miller Street near Furman Road in Franklin Township just before 5 p.m. Monday.Emergency dispatchers say one firefighter sustained non-life-threatening injuries Fire ripped through the Franklin Township home. According to Northern York County Regional Police, the home was not occupied when the fire broke out. Because of its size, crews from around the region came to fight it including the Dillsburg, Wellsville and Upper Allen fire departments. Several roads in the area were blocked off as crews battled the flames all evening in the rainy, cool conditions. There is no official word on the damages, but the home appears to be a total loss.
