No injuries were sustained in a reported building collapse at Bisett Building Center at 11:35 a.m. on Thursday.
Bradford City Fire Department were dispatched to reports of a building collapse at the concrete facility, but Fire Chief Eric Taylor said after examining the scene, the incident was classified as an overpressure. “It was in the cement mixing building; one of the processors must have had an issue, causing a back up, and that pressure, from what it appears right now, must have blew the door off the building,” Taylor explained. Although the mixing building has some new additions, it is generally an old building, Taylor described.
“It’s an old building, so we really didn’t go in there too deep because there were no injuries,” said Taylor. “But the issue that caused the overpressure has been shut down.”
