Authorities say a woman was found dead after a fire Thursday at an East Stroudsburg apartment complex. Monroe County Coroner Tom Yanac said the victim is a woman whose identity has not yet been released. He said the fire is being investigated by the state police fire marshal. The apartment complex for senior citizens is located along Kistler Street in East Stroudsburg. Yanac said, adding the investigation is ongoing. According to the Pocono Record, the fire began around 9 a.m. in room 112. Stroud Area Regional police say the flames were put out by the building’s maintenance staff.
