Area fire crews responded to a blaze in the 600 block of Knowles Avenue in Upper Southampton on Friday. A Bucks County radio room supervisor said the Southampton Fire Co. was dispatched to a multi-story home at 1:29 p.m. Crews from several area fire companies assisted at the scene along with Upper Southampton police. Flames could be seen engulfing the ground floor and shooting out a top-floor window. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Upper Southampton Fire Marshal. There was no word of any reported injuries as of late Friday afternoon.
