Three firefighters have been taken to Rhode Island Hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained during an early morning fire. A bystander called 911 just after 5 a.m. to report a fire at a strip mall on Reservoir Avenue in Providence. According to Deputy Assistant Fire Chief Joseph Desmarais, three to four businesses are heavily damaged and will not be able to open again. The business with the most amount of damage is Sunny Market Place Asian Market, but Desmarais said firefighters have not yet determined if that is where the fire began. No one was inside the building when the fire broke out. Right now, crews remain on the scene investigating.
