Woonsocket man indicted on multiple counts of larceny, arson

A city man accused of a week-long crime spree in 2015 that included setting fires in multiple occupied buildings and attempted robberies at five homes, was indicted this week by the Providence County Grand Jury. Ousman Faye, 24, of 52 Minerva St. has been charged with one count of first degree arson, two counts of fifth degree arson, four counts of breaking and entering, four counts of larceny over $1500, one count of attempted breaking and entering, one count of vandalism, and one count of tampering with a motor vehicle. According to a release from the state Attorney General's office, Faye allegedly broke into the dwellings of four different individuals on dates between July 4, 2015 and July 10, 2015, and stole various items valuing over $1500 from each victim. In addition, Faye allegedly set fire to two of the dwellings that he entered illegally.
