Flames broke out Tuesday morning in a Coventry home. Firefighters responded to 25 Carrs Trail at about 9 a.m. and knocked down the fire quickly. Nobody was home at the time. The fire chief said the owner was doing renovations and returned Tuesday morning to find fire in the basement. The owner tried to put out the flames with a garden hose, but then called the fire department. Tax records show the house was sold last month.
