Firefighters responded to a fire at a home Friday morning. The fire started just after 7 a.m. on Sheridan Avenue, which is in the Rumford Section of town, and was knocked down in 10 to 15 minutes. Chief Oscar Elmasian said that the home was occupied with three adults and three children. The fire caused structural damage to the home and the Red Cross is assisting residents with temporary housing. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
