North Providence police are asking for help to identify a person of interest in a February house fire that police said was deliberately set. Police released a picture Friday of a car spotted driving away from the scene of the fire on Sherwood Avenue on February 24. According to police, the witness who took the picture reported seeing a 6-foot-tall male with a medium build get into a silver Honda Civic moments after the fire started. The witness said the person was wearing dark-colored clothes and headgear that covered his face. Police said there were people in the house when the fire started, but no one was injured.
