A firefighter was hurt and 12 people were displaced from their homes due to a fire in Pawtucket Friday night, according to authorities.
The Pawtucket Fire Department said flames broke out at a multi-family house on Power Road just after 5 p.m.
The home sustained damage to the first floor, which extended to the attic. While a firefighter suffered a minor shoulder injury, everyone made it out of the structure safely.
The fire displaced two families, including four adults and eight children. The Red Cross is assisting them.
The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
