The final reading of an ordinance to borrow $365,000 from South State Bank in a lease-purchase agreement to secure a new fire truck and a grapple loader truck was approved by Bamberg City Council at its regular meeting Monday night.
The 2.25 percent loan will be repaid over seven years, it was noted.
Council also approved first reading of an ordinance authorizing the Bamberg Board of Public Works to borrow $3,720,738, along with any capitalized interest, from the State Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund to improve wastewater collection on Pine Street in the city.
