Body found in search area of missing Porter-Gaud student who fell from boat in Johns Island

At approximately 8 a.m. Monday morning, a body was found in the water near the Limehouse Bridge where crews were looking for a missing 17-year-old who fell from a boat in the area of Limehouse Landing on Saturday night, according to St. Johns Deputy Fire Marshall Rick Anewalt. An official with the Porter-Gaud School confirmed Monday morning that the missing teen was a student there. It remains unclear at this time whether the body found Monday morning is that of the missing teenager, The teen went missing on Saturday night around 8:30 p.m. when multiple agencies responded to a report of a possible drowning, according to Deputy Fire Marshal Rick Anewalt. The Limehouse Boat Landing was closed during the search Sunday before reopening to the public. St. John's fire district stopped their search for the day on Sunday night around 8:15 p.m. and started searching again on Monday morning.
