Nine residents of a Conway area mobile home were displaced by a fire that gutted their home on Tuesday, officials said.
Crews responded around 11:30 a.m. to the home, located on the 1500 block of Ned Lane off of Wayside Road, said Capt. Mark Nugent with Horry County Fire Rescue. Upon arrival, crews saw a well-involved fire at the mobile home. They were able to knock the blaze out in around 15 minutes, Nugent said. The Conway Fire Department also responded.
The home is considered a total loss. Assistance from the American Red Cross has been requested. Authorities were still on scene as of 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.
No injuries were sustained due to the blaze. The cause of the fire was still under investigation at the time of this report.
