Surfside Beach volunteer firefighter Roy Luther was honored by the Raging Knights Fire Fighter Motorcycle Club Wednesday.
Luther has cerebral palsy and uses an electric powered chair to get around. He spends most of his time doing tasks around the department, like washing the trucks and doing maintenance. He says, "I do what I can to help."
Back in September, the Surfside Beach Fire Department raised money to surprise Luther with a wheelchair that would allow him to stand. Now, he's become an honorary member of the Raging Knights FFMC. His official nickname: "Hot Wheels."
