A family of four was displaced Friday night when their Kelli Drive house caught fire, according to officials.
Greenwood County Fire Coordinator Steve Holmes said a kitchen fire at 210 Kelli Drive quickly spread throughout the house, and when firefighters arrived flames were already coming through the kitchen roof and windows.
No one was hurt in the blaze, but Holmes said about half the house was damaged directly by fire, while the rest had smoke and water damage. He said the American Red Cross was called out to help the family by providing financial assistance. The Northwest, Hodges/Cokesbury and Coronaca fire stations responded to the blaze, Holmes said.
