A 61-year-old woman went into a coma after being severely burned in a house fire in Greenbrier early Sunday morning. Firefighters were called to 1019 Church Street at approximately 2:19 a.m. and flames were visible when first responders arrived. "The fire was shooting out of the first floor, the bedroom window," Greenbrier Fire Chief Billy Wilson said. Martha Sharp was home alone at the time of the fire and had gotten out of the house by the time firefighters arrived, Wilson said.
