Tuesday evening, the E-911 convened to discuss a relatively light agenda including approval of the second and final reading of the 2017-18 budget, as well as equipment purchases for the Dyer County Communications Center. With a last-minute equipment issue, Dyer County Fire Chief James Medlin requested funds from the board totaling $4,500, which will come out of the upcoming budget. Medlin says the funds are necessary as a means to reimburse West TN Communications for the purchase of a county radio repeater. Members of the board approved the motion, in addition to approving the budget, with no other modifications.
