Firefighters extinguished a school bus that caught fire and spread to a local church Monday evening. The Englewood Fire Department (EFD) says a McMinn County school bus caught fire around 7 p.m. Flames from the bus spread to nearby East Etowah First Church of God on County Road 909. Firefighters were able to put out the flames, but the bus was heavily damaged. EFD says the church building had only minor damage. The fire department says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
